Executive Assistant

Milwaukee Repertory Theater is seeking an outgoing and organized Executive Assistant to support the Executive Director and Artistic Director with the functions of the leadership office while assisting with other administrative functions of Milwaukee Repertory Theater.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide clerical support and assistance to the Executive Director and Artistic Director, including correspondence, scheduling, travel, and special projects as directed
  • Distribute and collect daily mail and maintain physical company mailboxes
  • Maintain an organized, clean and functioning office environment in all shared spaces within administration
  • Provide basic in-house IT support assisting with the administration of email and new users, and printers/copiers/projector and serve as liaison with network service provider
  • Assist as necessary with The Rep’s Annual Curtain Call Ball

1.   At least Two (2) years experience performing similar duties and responsibilities as required of the position
2.   Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word) & Adobe
3.   Computer software skills (the ability to understand and answer questions for basic software problems, basic knowledge of a network/cloud system)
4.   Ability to take meeting minutes and format accordingly
5.   Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to appropriately communicate with varied audiences
6.   Writing skills, able to adapt to professional and contract language
7.   Highly responsible and reliable
8.   Respect for the confidentiality of the business functions of the Executive Offices and their communications
9.   Ability to work in a fast paced environment
10. Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
11. Ability to work evenings and weekends, as required on occasion
12. Ability to pass a background check in accordance with state and/or Federal laws

Compensation and Benefits: Salary range is commensurate with experience. Milwaukee Repertory Theater employees receive benefits including 100% employer paid health and dental insurance for individuals, a paid time off package, an employer provided contribution to a 403(b) retirement plan without requiring an employee match, and employer contributions to a health savings account, as well as offering a health reimbursement arrangement.
