Technology Specialist

Veridian Homes, an innovative company with an emphasis on smart growth and green built practices, has an exciting opportunity in its’ information technology department for an enthusiastic Technology Specialist to join our team!

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Tracking, prioritizing and resolving issues reported to help desk in a timely and accurate fashion
• Installing, configuring, troubleshooting and maintaining Windows servers, workstations and peripheral devices
• Distributing and implementing equipment, hardware and software upgrades, as needed
• Practicing network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory and related documentation
• Performing system back-ups and restores, as required
• Providing on-call technical support to include nights, evenings and weekends (as well as the capability to drive to and serve other company locations)

The successful candidate will have a strong attention to detail, solutions-oriented and possess a keen desire to learn and apply new technologies. A degree in Computer Science or IT, and/or 2 years of equivalent work experience is required. Advanced Windows-based computer skills and customer service experience in a technology-related arena is preferred.
